Checking In

Sorry I haven't checked in for a few days. I have been quite busy with wedding arrangements, work and some custom orders. This weekend is the rehersal so it is coming around so quickly!! Still a few things to do but nothing too serious. And finally here are a couple of the Hens pics! xx

Counting down

It seems as though we are entering the 'count down' stage of our wedding. Most of the big things are done. We do have lots and pieces to be done but I feel like we are getting there. This wedding via Polka Dot Bride really shows off the soft romantic style I am after..

Etsy wedding sashes/flowers

I have been doing some etsy shopping and have come across some great etsy shops with fantastic belts/sashes that incorporate fabric flowers to wear with the bridesmaids dresses! Now I just need to work out which will suit my whole look the best and decide on my colours once and for all!

DIY bouquet

Today I bought a bunch of baby pink and white carnations. Then I came across this blog post that detailled how to make a carnation bouquet that turns out to look likes peonies!

Wedding invitation

I have been working on some custom orders in my etsy shop and thought this one was a great combination of two of my designs. I am in the process of designing my own invitation but just waiting to select the bridesmaids dress so I can match the colours. Only problem is I am so picky I can never choose one that I absolutely love! Not much else to report - still so hot in Melbourne but I guess I can't complain!!

To bouquet or not to bouquet

I have been having some wedding dilemmas... mainly in my head and mainly based around my colour palette, my exact wedding style and also my wedding flowers. I am not sure if a bouquet fits with my wedding style but I also feel I need to have something in my hands when I arrive. Here are some flowers I have come across that I like - what do you guys think? Something structured or something casual? Some final colour palette options will be posted shortly and I will be collecting votes!!

Update

I have been so busy lately I haven't had a lot of time to post on my blog. So here is a quick update. I have been working really flat out lately and my exercise program got thrown out the window. So this morning I got up nice and early and did my 40 min run/walk - it seems as though my body has forgotten what to do but I am feeling so motivated now! Planning to ride tomorrow morning so will post afterwards! All the wedding planning is going well - kind of on hold which is nice! Today I am off to the hairdresser - cant wait. Then lots of errands to run and babysitting my little nephew tonight! Lots of orders and enquiries coming through my etsy shop so I am really excited about that! Think thats about it - thanks for all your lovely comments!!

Sunday Jonas Love

I love everything I see from Jonas Peterson and this dreamy wedding shoot is no exception. All the wedding planning is going great guns. My new fitness regime unfortunately is not! But I will start afresh tomorrow since it is Monday!! Off for some yummy thai tonight!

Inspiration board

Love this inspiration board from Green Wedding Shoes. These colours are so dreamy and beautiful. We also settled on our groom/groomsmen outfits today. Black pants, black vest and skinny tie with a nice white shirt - I will post some pics that make it look a bit better than it sounds!

Flowers!

I just came across this lovely hair piece from tijusai on etsy. Love the idea of using one of her flowers for the bridesmaids perhaps instead of bouquets? Also sorted out rings today and my gorgeous friend is free to do our makeup! Progress at last!

Sunday afternoon

Hey there, so its Sunday afternoon and the sun is out in Melbourne which I am so happy about. Skipped my ride again and instead we made mini chicken pies with leek and mushroom, went and visited my aunt and started potting all of our tomatoes and herbs. I came across this photoshoot from Karen Wise and I am really loving the colour of these bridesmaids dresses with the bouquets. Let me know what you think and happy Sunday everyone!

Inspiration board

ok, so here is my inspiration board. My colours change almost everyday but I have replaced the sage green with grey. Let me know what you think? I think it will all come together once I get my dress and bridesmaids dresses etc. Found some great white paper lanterns today which I think will be perfect and I have also started designing the invitations just to get a REALLY big head start! Let me know your thoughts!!!

Wow!

The groom made his brides wedding dress and it is oh so cute. I came aross this post from Joanna Goddard who is really inspiring me this week. I wish I was brave enough to wear a short dress! Love the shoes too!  So today I am still looking for the BCBG dress but think I will head of to a couple of shops to see if I can find something I actually like! Fingers crossed and hope my credit card survives!

Mini inspiration board

Here is my first ever wedding inspiration board. This is just a mini version of the large version which I am working on so it is a work in progress. I just have too many pictures that I love that I want to include! Basically the style is simple, rustic and a little bit vintage. Inspiration Board

As you can see I am all about inspiration boards at the moment. I have been so crazy busy this week I haven't had a chance to do any wedding planning and now I am starting to worry...

So many thing on my list I really need to start crossing off!!!

Here is the latest colour board I have come across that suits my taste. I am getting closer and closer  - all I need to do is find the time to put my own inspiration board together because I know it will be exactly what I am after!

Inspiration Board

I just came across this inspiration board from Ritzy Bee. It's a shame I am so indecisive - I just want to make a decision about my colour palette but I keep seeing more that I like! But I love these colours and have steered away from the Raspberry/Chocolate look. Let me know what you think of this one - love the idea of incorporating the striped material. I think I need to make my own inspiration board from scratch so I can keep it for reference and stop changing my mind!
